The General Service Office (G.S.O.) launched its new online contributions platform on October 21, 2026, making it easier for A.A. members and groups to support the Fellowship through Seventh Tradition contributions.
For group treasurers, GSRs, and other trusted servants, the updated system provides additional payment options and simpler ways to identify groups, districts, and areas when making contributions.
What Does This Mean for Your A.A. Group?
A.A. groups that contribute to G.S.O. can now use an updated online system designed to make the process easier.
The platform includes improved search features to help identify groups, districts, and areas. It also allows contributions to be made online on behalf of an area or district.
Individual members can continue to make their own Seventh Tradition contributions, including anonymously.
More Payment Options
The new platform accepts several forms of payment:
- ACH transfers from U.S. bank accounts
- EFT transfers from Canadian bank accounts
- Credit and debit cards
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- PayPal and Venmo
Contributors also have the option to cover processing costs associated with their contributions.

Managing Recurring Contributions
Members who make regular contributions now have greater control over their arrangements.
Through the new online portal, contributors can change contribution amounts, pause or resume payments, schedule contributions, and adjust their recurring contribution frequency.
New recurring contributions must initially be established as monthly payments. After setup, the frequency can be changed.
Access to the portal does not require a separate password. A secure link is sent to the contributor’s email address.
A Few Important Changes
G.S.O. has identified several changes that members should be aware of:
Saved Payment Information: Payment methods stored on the previous platform must be entered again.
Existing Recurring Contributions: Members with recurring contributions will receive separate communication from G.S.O. with additional instructions.
Individual Contributions and Group Acknowledgments: Members making personal contributions can no longer designate a group to receive acknowledgment for that contribution. This was previously known as “soft credit.”
These changes are worth reviewing with your group treasurer, particularly if your group regularly forwards contributions to G.S.O.
Seventh Tradition and Group Finances
The Seventh Tradition reminds us that every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.
Each group makes its own informed decisions about its finances and how to distribute funds beyond its immediate needs.
For additional information, G.S.O. provides MG-15, A.A. Guidelines on Finance, which discusses group contributions, financial responsibilities, and other matters related to the Seventh Tradition.
